GoogleOS and Some Rumors

Back from lunch, I felt a bit sleepy in my chair. Now my eyes fall on the Google's webpage in my system. Oh, Define Omnipresent - That is Google. Okay, whatever. It has a link 'More Google Products'. I click. I see a couple of great good softwares there.

Hey wait, did someone tell me about an OS, Google is said to be brewing in their labs? Is Google all set for locking horns with Microsoft? Rumour has it, that, it is, even for Google's denial of any such move. But if you check out the array of softwares available under the
'More Google Products' banner - like the web based Notebook, or the web based Calendar ..The Google Docs and Spreadsheets are to name a few... Well, Google is growing a handful of tools, components of a future web-based-OS in their labs, and can even go in the direction Microsoft did, years ago. People see this growing 'webtop' as a step towards the GoogleOS. I dont mean this is a complete take on Microsoft, if u care, but rather a hint towards that. Well, lets keep our mouths shut, ...wait and see.

(Ooops! I too, have spread the rumour ;) )

Wanna fly over your home and wave at your mom ? No Kidding!! Google will let you do that!

That was an easter egg from the (creative) google engineers.

A useful initiative from Google : http://code.google.com/edu/

@Sree - True, Dude. Forget about webtops, today we see Google's Android - Created Not just to breath life into your mobile handset, on the other hand, originally architectured for smartbooks also, biggish ODMs like Compal have already shown demo pieces of notebooks, with the Android soul gracefully beating, in the latest 2009 COMDEX show .. Finally wasn't a rumour at all then .. :)

@Anju
Sorta.. Yeah. Thanks! :)
